Stockpile – 104 viewsPJ, Adam, and Tom - Saturday morning and the fire is lit.
DCP_1245.JPG
The lake – 115 viewsView of the lake from the campsite (this campsite right on the water, with priority for handicapped campers - we were the only people on the mountain this weekend!)
DCP_1246.JPG
The cooker – 96 viewsUnlike most of the other sites, this one has a cool cooker to build the fire in. We flipped the top grate over so that some of it was directly over the flames, and the back was used for slow cooking. I need one of these, the food was amazing!
DCP_1247.JPG
The site – 101 viewsAdam, Tom, and PJ with the tents in the background.
DCP_1249.JPG
Adam – 113 viewsAdam scarfs down a Corona with the lake in the background (I told you it was close!)
DCP_1250.JPG
Ron Guidry comtemplates world peace – 100 viewsTom's hair was fully beasting out so much that I started calling him Ron Guidry because of the ear muffs sticking out of his hat (the Yankees shirt didn't help his case either :-p ).
DCP_1251.JPG
PJ contemplates Ron Guidry – 102 viewsPJ admires the scope of the Tom's hair
DCP_1252.JPG
Tom's Avenger – 109 viewsWhile we never could figure out what it was Avenging, this car managed to hold 4 over-grown men with gear for several hours in traffic in a surprisingly comfortable fashion.
DCP_1253.JPG
Shoreline – 97 viewsA view of the pond from it's shore - it;s really nice to see the mist rolling over it as the sun comes up - maybe next time I'll remember to take a picture of that mist.
DCP_1254.JPG
Surviving the mud – 110 viewsThe disposable water-proof Kodak and my Cigar Caddy - the only things to come away from the canoe spill unharmed! Pictures from that Kodak should be up some time during the week.
DCP_1256.JPG
The crack of dusk – 111 viewsPJ re-defines the term 'plumbers-crack", while his son tries to make it go away with a plastic bat.
DCP_1257.JPG
Group shot – 152 viewsAdam, myself, PJ and Tom standing behind PJ's wee-ones (Andréa and 'little' Peter). Little Peter is holding up what's left of a wiffle ball after he hit it a few times - the kid swings harder than Jason Giambi according to Adam - and Ron Guidry agrees ;-)
DCP_1258.JPG
Ron Guidry catches a newt! – 122 viewsTom claims to have caught 3 fish the next morning, but he'll forever be remembered for hooking a lowly newt that evening. Go Ron Guidry, go!
DCP_1260.JPG
Ron Guidry catches a Brew! – 140 viewsTom enjoys a soothing Molson XXX after his firey battle with a fiercely docile newt.
DCP_1261.JPG
uh..... – 102 viewsmake your own caption, anything will fit this picture!
DCP_1262.JPG
Stud in the Woods – 108 viewsMy good side, or not...
DCP_1264.JPG
FIRE! – 107 viewsAlways the best part of any night in the woods
DCP_1266.JPG
Mud pole – 100 viewsbackpack and what's left of a muddy shirt after a failed attempt to get it clean. Notice the Handicap sign on the post - mental handicaps count up here, and we were fully stocked with that.
DCP_1268.JPG
My tent – 113 viewsIt called to me, and I answered

ZZZzzzzz............
