.: When good darts go wrong :..: 11/20/04 :.
A few weeks ago I put a crappy dart board in the office. Really crappy, but it's something to do when there's nothing else to do. Of course, now I have my boss playing too (even got him his first set of 'real' darts after he was using some of mine for a while). The cool thing is now I get in a lot of practice, expecially against my boss (who is getting better daily). He often yells at me if my throwing is off, saying he isn't paying me to throw badly! The bad thing is I'm going to have to spring for a real board now that he's got decent darts and is helping to destroy that crappy board!
Anyway, while goofing around and practicing yesterday, I threw this tight grouping in the 5's, except the third dart was denied access when the other two decided to hold him off the board: The darts are 27g HammerHead Gorilla Grips, and are about 8 years old. Click the read more link to see a couple more images that will better explain what the heck you're looking at. Here's the view from the left side - you can see how far away from the board the dart is: Here's the view from the right - notice how beat up the spider is already after a short time (like I said, it's a crap board)
