3 of the best episodes of the X-Files. Mon and Tues was the 2 Part Dreamland episode where they introduce Morris Fletcher (the best re-occurring character in the X-F/TLG universe!), and he and Mulder switch bodies because of a tear in the space-time continuum. Today it's the always kick-ass Bruce Cambell demon episode. If they toss in the Jim Rose episode and the Haunted House Christmas episode this week will be perfect.

Bruce Campbell frelling rules - Hail to the King Baby!

Sometimes it's good to be on vacation :p

edit: the Christmas episode is on Friday! (tomorrow is The Rain King w/ Vistoria Jackson).

Single Mother gets the piracy case against her dropped; now she's going after the RIAA for conspiracy
After being sued by the music industry for stealing songs and winning the case's dismissal, Andersen is now taking the record industry to court. Her case is aimed at exposing investigative practices that are controversial and may be illegal, according to the lawsuit. One company hired by the record industry, she claims, snoops through people's computers, uncovering private files and photos, even though it has no legal right to do so. A different industry-backed company uses tactics similar to those of debt collectors, pressuring people to pay thousands of dollars in settlements even before any wrongdoing is proven. In Andersen's case, the industry's Settlement Support Center said that unless she paid $4,000 to $5,000 immediately, it would "ruin her financially," the suit alleges.

It's. About. Fucking. Time.

.: I'm pooped :.

.: 04/19/08 :.
Damn nice day today, so I spent some much needed time on the bike (I really packed on the 'layers' this winter).

Went to the local hardware store to get some needed plumbing stuff. Been here nearly 15 years and yet I never bothered going in. It felt like I stepped through some weird time vortex - turns out to be the kind of place you'd find in some small country town - totally cluttered and just simply cool. I gottta say, putting in a new shower head is almost like having a new shower - I've missed the water pressure! The stop broke on one of the faucet handles on the kitchen sink, so of course I bought the wrong type. Not a big deal, I just have to pay attention when turning it off because it'll spin back to full open otherwise.

Then I went and bought stuff for the animals - ended up dropping $80 on the friggin lizards, and spent half the day cleaning Spanky's tank and Spanky himself (who put up with being scrubbed in a sink with a toothbrush longer than I would :-p ). Bought him some new stuff to climb on and hide in, and a cool hollow rock for cricket feeding (he only gets live food, crickets and wax worms, a few times a year - he's mostly a vegetarian). Now if I could just figure a way to get him to eat all the crickets before they find holes to get out of and annoy me for the next week or two with their incessant chirping (which they've already started!)

Of course, after everything was clean and I took all the lizard stuff out of the tub, I had to spend another hour or two cleaning that (bleach really makes my eyes water).

The iguana's tank will get done tomorrow, I'm tired and an NCIS marathon is on.

(Was that a friggin cricket that just ran over my foot - little fucker!)

I was watching Sweeny Todd, and looking at his makeup made the image of Johnny Depp as Sid Vicious pop in my head. Damn he would be awesome in that role...

Any comic that can put Skateboarding and Calvin and Hobbes together is nothing short of awesome! (the computer geeky stuff is an added bonus)

Guns N' Roses finally finished Chinese Democracy!

A report at AllYourTV.com says that a "major music-oriented television channel" has proposed an idea for a reality series revolving around Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose. Sources close to the project indicated that the show would focus on the reclusive singer's efforts to complete and release the long-delayed Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy. The yet-to-be-titled series would follow Rose and the other members of the current Guns lineup through behind-the-scenes rehearsal and studio footage as well as interviews.

~~~~
A deal for the series is reportedly "close, but not signed," with timing said to be a key issue. The series would be geared toward promoting the release of the new album, which still does not have a street date.
Sources at Rose's label, Geffen Records, said that a finished version of Chinese Democracy has been delivered to the company. Rose and the label, however, are still reportedly haggling over money and rights issues.
Wow, I never thought this would happen, and yet it's done. The big question is - after nearly 15 years, will anyone actually give a shit about Axl after the shit he's put the original band and it's fans through? (not to mention the tons of people he's dealt with/screwed over over this past 2 decades)
If it actually comes out this year, Dr. Pepper will owe the entire American public a drink!
Oh, and a G-n-R reality show? The shark just jumped Axl!
The world's stupidest politician, and America's second worst mayor (he barely gets edged out by the racist scumbag from New Orleans) is back with his famous inept stupidity.
Just a taste of Boston news radio station WBZ-1030's pathetic ass-kissery of an "interview" with this tool, taken from GamePolitics.com:
Mayor Menino: …these video games and violence. And uh, ya know, kids - they play with them, they see them on TV all the times. You know, we gotta take some measures to restrict access to this violence. And everybody’s well, the First Amendment, uh, you can’t do it because this.
We always can’t do something. My measure, let’s do something to restrict young people from glorify- from being glorified with this violence. As I look at this, I watch little kids out there with these little video games. There’s shootings, there’s killings and all that. We’ve got to do something. Everybody says we can’t. I’m saying we can and let’s start now. Because there’s too much violence on the streets of America, presently, to uh, that is happening.
The current representation of what major media outlets consider reporting ignores the fact that this idiot cannot even complete an actual thought by just agreeing with his nonsense and tossing him softballs (almost as if it the twit were reading from a script she was told not to deviate from)
