Thor was sitting in the front of the tank today, not moving. He hasn't been doing to well - didn't really eat that much, and rarely drank anything. Actually, he never really ate much at all - most of the time he'd barely eat half of the crickets, and wouldn't touch baby food at all (yes, they do actually eat baby food). I told my brother last night that I didn't think he was going to live much longer, and it looks like I was right.

In related news, Spanky still hates Dexter. I don't blame him though, Dex has got one hell of an attitude.

Another player coming to the pinstripes so they can get a World Series Ring. But seriously, Rodriguez, Giambi, and Sheffield - that is the making of the greatest batting lineup, possibly ever, if they can work together. Add in no Zimmer on the bench this year, and although on paper it's shaping up to be an unstoppable lineup - well just ask the Mets how much talent means on paper if they can't figure out how to play the damned game together on the field.

On a sad note, I'm really sad to see Soriano go. Good luck, and thanks for all the heart the past few years.

Ok, it's been nearly 3 years since I had to deal with any of these, but I remember most of them a little too well. In fact, it seems I spent most of my 20's in a constant 2-Star daze...

Yesterday, my brother picks me up to go shopping for his wife's birthday (which is today - Happy Birthday Amy!), and to watch his litter so he can take her out for dinner. So we're all sitting there watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, Joe's putting together a big dragon he just bought, and I'm feeding the wee one when I suddenly realize:

The NY State Assembly is considering a "Rat Line" that will allow you to report those farking a-holes that insist on using their cell phone while driving. Not quite as good as being able to beat them to a pulp with their own phones, but if it works and stops these dangerous jackasses from nearly killing everyone because they're trying to smoke, talk on a phone, and drive at the same time - well then it's a good thing.

You need to create a free account, but it's more than worth it. This is one of the best selections of music I've heard since before WLIR sold out a few years back. So many obscure greats like Pop Will Eat Itself, The Wonder Stuff, The Primitives, Love and Rockets, Aztec Camera, Voice of the Beehive, Nitzer Ebb, Dramarama - not to mention all of the staples of the 80's new-wave/punk era. It's like listening to Malibu Sue's Flashback Lunch (which died on Black Friday with WLIR)
