My boss actually paid to see Alone in the Dark this weekend because his youngest son picked it. I started laughing at him before he could get his disgust out! His first clue that it was going to be bad was that there was 10 people in the theater, including him and hos kids - on a Saturday night! From there, it got worse. At least his oldest joined him in the realization that it was the worst movie they had ever seen.
